## Exercise 1.2: Generating Image Variants with AI in GenStudio

### Understanding How Marketers Use AI to Create Image Variants

In GenStudio for Performance Marketing, marketers can generate image variants—AI-generated assets that draw inspiration from a selected reference image while capturing its visual style and aesthetic.

Instead of creating visuals from scratch, marketers start with an approved image and apply a prompt, brand guidelines, and parameters such as model and aspect ratio. GenStudio then generates multiple consistent variations in the Canvas.

This exercise walks you through generating image variants for the Sevoi Resorts campaign using a reference image, parameters, and a prompt, demonstrating how multiple on-brand variations can be created quickly.

### Step-by-Step Instructions

**Step 1: Navigate to Image Variant Generation**

- In GenStudio, go to the Create workspace (paintbrush icon)
- Scroll to "Content creation" section and click **"Generate image variants"**

**Step 2: Select a reference image**

- Click Select from Content
- Locate the “beach\_chair\_lollipop\_Sevoi” image or another approved Sevoi Resorts asset
- Note that only one reference image can be selected at a time

**Step 3: Add brand guidelines and parameters**

- In the Basic tab, select the Sevoi Resorts brand
- Note options for Image categories. These are defined in Sevoi brand.
- Note Firefly 5 image generation model
- These parameters guide how image variants are generated

**Step 5: Enter an image prompt**

- In the prompt field, enter:

- Prompts use natural language to guide generation output

**Step 6: Review and compare variants**

- Review the generated variant in the Canvas
- Compare differences in: 
  - Lighting and color tone
  - Composition and framing
  - Subject focus and perspective
- Note brand score including ability to view guidelines
- Publish content for use in Content Generation section
