**Dataset and Data Ingestion**

Datasets will be defined by a schema for data to be ingested. This lab will walk through the steps to complete a data ingestion workflow to create a dataset and ingest data.

### Start a Data Ingestion Workflow

1. Navigate to **Workflows**  in the left-side navigation panel in the Adobe Experience Platform UI. Select **Map CSV to XDM schema** and then click on **Launch.**

1. Select **New dataset** on the of your screen. Next you will need to add some information about your dataset and schema:
   1. Output dataset name: **CRM Details + \{\{Participant Initials}}** 
   2. Description: **CRM Information**
   3. Schema: **Customer Details** **+ \{\{Participant Initials}}**

1. Select **Enable partial ingestion** and make sure that it is at 15% threshold. The click **Next** in the top right-hand corner.

1. You will be selecting the data that will need to be ingested. Click on **Browse** or drag and drop the file called **CRM Exercise Data**. You will see a preview of the data once it is uploaded. Click **Next**.

1. Now you will see where the columns that exist in CSV and how they are mapped against the schema that you created. This is where you can use Data Prep to do some light ETL or remap data to another part of the schema. This file will be mapped correctly and you can click **Finish**.
