CitiIn this exercise, we ***will start with an existing AEP Audience and enrich it with a Federated Composition.***

Exercise Stages:

1. Review an existing Adobe Experience Platform Audience - **CitiSignal - Streaming Service Subscribers**
2. Review the **Federated Audience** **Composition Destination **and** Activate the existing AEP audiences **that will be enriched.
3. Create an Enriched audience with data stored in the Snowflake **TELCOM\_CONSENT\_PREFERENCE** Schema.

## Existing Adobe Experience Platform Audience

1. Navigate to **Customer** > **Audiences** portal, click the **Browse** tab.
2. Search for "CitiSignal" and you should see a **CitiSignal - Streaming Service Subscribers **audience.
3. Click on the Audience to review the logic. Note that this is an audience based on data ingested into Adobe Experience Platform.

## Federated Audience Composition Destination

To leverage existing audiences within compositions and enrich or refine them using data from your external databases to create new audiences, you need to setup a new connection in Adobe Experience Platform to the Adobe Federated Audience Composition destination.

1. Navigate to **Destinations** within the left menu.
2. Click on the **Catalog** tab.
3. Select My Destinations (or you can search for Federated Audience Composition).

4\. Click on Activate Audiences and you will be taken to a workflow that lets you:

- Select the Federated Audience Composition Connection to use
- Select the Audiences to Map
- Scheduling
- Mapping Attributes (Profile and/or Enrichment)

5\. Note that the **CitiSignal - Streaming Service Subscribers** audience is already mapped to the destination.

## Leverage existing AEP audiences within compositions for enrichment

In this section, we will use the above audience and enrich it further using our Federated Composition created in the prevous section.

1. Navigate to **Customer > Audiences > Federated Compositions** tab.
2. Click Create Composition.
3. Name your composition: **Feb Streaming Service Subscribers w Email Consent***** + your initials***

1. Click the **+** button in the composition canvas and select **Build audience**
2. Click **Read audience > Continue >** Add the audience - **Feb CitiSignal - Streaming Service Subscribers > Confirm**

*Note: This view will expose all audiences that were mapped to the Federated Audience Composition Destination.*

3. Next, click on the **+ Add** icon and select **Reconciliation**. 

4\. Select the **TELCOM\_CONSENT\_PREFERENCE** Schema to reconcile against.

5\. Select Simple Attributes and set the following parameters within the Join block by clicking **Add rule**:

**Destination** ACCTID

6\. Click on **Edit filter** and set a condition to filter for those Accounts that have opted in to Email (CONSENTS\_MARKETING\_EMAIL\_VAL = TRUE). This workflow is very similar to the prvious composition workflow. **Confirm**

7\. Run your composition to ensure it does not show any errors.

8. Save the results into an Audience - **add icon > Save Audience.**

9\.  Add Audience Label - **Feb** **Streaming Service Subscribers w Email Consent + your initials**

10\.  Choose **Add Audience Mapping** - **ACCTID**

11\.  Choose the Primary identity field - **ACCTID**

12\.  Select Identity namespace - **ACCITD**

13\.  Select Resume, or Restart if needed, to build the Audience
