In this exercise we'll test the journey we've build.

# Testing the journey

:::hint{type="info"}
If you want to fully experience this journey, make sure to have the Luma Retail demo app installed on your phone and linked to your test profile.

A guide on how to do this can be found under [Introduction > Mobile App](docId\:HhkCp5oRp8r-uQzAH7drP).
:::

In Adobe Journey Orchestration you can run journeys in test mode to test if the outcome of your journeys aligns with your requirements.

To enable test mode, click on **Test mode** on the top right of your journey.

While in test mode, you can not make changes to the journey. You'll also notice that the left menu is replaced with the `Test mode` panel.

To see the custom actions coming through you can [open the WebHook URL](https://tvemea-webhook.web.app/?project=havas).

1. As we'll want to trigger a purchase, we need some time to manually trigger the event, before the journey time out. On the Test mode panel set the **Wait Time** to `120 seconds`. This will give us 2 minutes before the event times out.
2. Click on **Trigger an event**. This will open a window. In this window you can choose a profile to be in the **geoNearStore** activity.
3. Fill out all the values for the event.
 - Set **Event Type** to `location.entry`
 - Set **Core** to `your ECID`
 - Set **POI Category** to `Store`
 - Set **POI Name** to `your store name`
4. Click **Send** to start the test.

If you don't have your test profile's ECID at hand, you can find your test profile in AEP using your email address.
:::

The window will close and the test will now start. In a few moments you'll see more arrows turn green. This is your test profile moving through the journey. You will receive the push notification within the next minute. Your screen should look like this:

The journey will wait after the first push. You now have 120 seconds to trigger the next event.

1. Click on **Trigger an event**. This will open a window. In this window you can choose a profile to be in the **lumaPurchase** activity.
2. Fill out all the values for the event.
 - Set **Event Type** to `commerce.purchases`
 - Set **Core** to `your ECID`
3. Click **Send** to continue the test.

1. Turn off test mode by clickin **Close in **the top right corner.
2. Click the **\<** in the top left to navigate back to the **Journeys overview**.
