*In this section, we will find a shared source image in AEM Assets, personalize it for our own county using AI-generative editing in Adobe Express, and see how AEM automatically tags, marks, and generates renditions of the new asset we create.*

Länsförsäkringar operates as **one brand across many regional companies** — the same mortgage campaign needs to feel locally relevant in Stockholm, Skåne, and Västra Götaland alike, without a designer rebuilding the asset from scratch for every county.

AEM Assets and Adobe Express give content teams that independence — starting from one approved source image, an editor can generate a county-specific variant, save it back to the shared library, and have it automatically tagged, marked, and made ready for every channel, no design request required.

In this exercise, you'll personalise a shared asset for your own assigned county, using the same AI-assisted workflow an LF content editor would use for a real regional campaign.

## Objective

Search for a shared base image, insert an AI-generated object specific to your county in Adobe Express, save it as a new asset in AEM, then review how AI-generated metadata, content authenticity marking, and dynamic renditions are all applied automatically.

## What This Proves

- AI-powered search for asset discovery
- AI-assisted content creation — generative object insertion in Express
- One shared source asset, many personalised outputs
- AI metadata accuracy — generated tags reflect what's actually in the image
- Content authenticity marking for AI-modified assets
- Automated dynamic renditions and AI-driven smart cropping

## NBO Mortgage Use Case - Overview

*In this exercise, we will search for a shared campaign image, insert an AI-generated object specific to our county, and save it as a new governed asset in AEM.*

Your HoL team has prepared a shared mortgage campaign image, already loaded into the AEM Assets library, for every participant to start from.

## Your County

Before you start, confirm your assigned county for today's exercise (e.g. *Stockholm*, *Uppsala, Halland and Alvsborg*). You'll use this same county consistently through every step today, so keep it in mind as you go.

## Finding a campaign base asset

Every participant works from the same source image today. This matters for the exercises ahead: it's how we'll later show one governed asset producing many personalized outputs, reused across pages without ever being duplicated.

1. Go to the AEM Assets environment: [AEM Assets](https://experience.adobe.com/?repoId=author-p168711-e1945519.adobeaemcloud.com#/@demopotemea/assets/browse)

2. From the AEM Navigation Menu, select **Assets**.
3. Use the AI-powered search bar to find the shared campaign image. Rather than searching by filename, describe what's in the image — this is what makes the search "AI-powered" rather than a simple keyword match.
Type `Moving house`and press **Enter (return key)** in your keyboard.

Everyone in the room should land on the same result. If yours looks different, double-check your search terms before continuing.

## Review the asset's existing AI-generated metadata

Before we personalise anything, let's look at what AEM already knows about this image, so we have a clear "before" to compare against once we've made our own edit.

1. Select the asset and click **Details** on the top rail menu.

2. Click the **Basic** tab to reveal the other tabs, then select **AI-Generated**. Here you can see the title, description, and keywords AEM has already generated for this image, purely from reading its content.

3. Click the **←** icon at the top left to return to the asset listing.

## Edit in Adobe Express

Now let's personalize this image for your county. Adobe Express opens a copy of the asset for editing, it always saves your changes as a **new asset**, never overwriting the original, so the shared source image stays untouched for everyone else in the room.

1. Select the same image again and click **Open in Adobe Express** on the top rail. This opens the asset in a popup window, ready to edit.
2. Click the asset to bring up the image edit menu, showing the quick actions available on this asset. Select **Insert Object**.

3. Using the brush tool, paint over the area where you'd like to insert your county-specific object. Then paste the matching prompt below into the text box and click **Insert** (you may need to scroll down slightly if the button isn't visible).

| Animal | Prompt |

| Bear | `A small plush brown bear toy sitting on the wooden floor next to the existing stuffed toy, soft fabric texture, realistic soft shadow, natural lighting matching the room, in sharp focus, similar scale to the nearby toys` |
| Arctic Fox | `A small plush arctic fox toy sitting on the wooden floor next to the existing stuffed toy, soft white fabric texture with a fluffy tail, realistic soft shadow, natural lighting matching the room, in sharp focus, similar scale to the nearby toys` |

4. Adobe Firefly generates three variants based on your prompt and selected area. Click through them and pick the one you're happiest with, if none quite work, try again with a small tweak to the prompt. Once you're happy with your selection, click **Keep**.

## Save your county variant

1. You now have your own regional variant of the original asset. Save it by clicking **Save** at the top right of the popup.

2. Set the file format to **JPEG** and keep the size as **default**, then click **Save**.

3. Name the file `{{LASTNAME}} - moving house banner`
4. In the destination selection popup, choose `/content/dam/hands-on-lab` as the destination folder.
5. Leave the remaining options as they are.
6. Click **Save as new asset**.

7. This closes the Adobe Express popup. After a short processing delay, your new asset will appear with a **New** status. Select it and click **Details** on the top blue rail menu.

## Review what AEM generated automatically

This is the payoff moment for the whole exercise, let's see what AEM figured out on its own, with no manual tagging from you.

1. Open the **AI-Generated** metadata tab. You should see that AEM has already identified the object you inserted, meaning this asset is now discoverable through that object too, without anyone typing a single tag by hand.

![](https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/1Jp0iolWv35Z_mkI7oUiT/GI8mIxJLGN3tHyjXZfcLX_screenshot-2026-08-27-at-174129.png)

2. Click the **CR** icon on the right to view the content authenticity marker. Because this asset was edited with AI, that fact is automatically recorded here, giving you a clear, permanent way to distinguish AI-modified content from an original. This directly supports LF's governance requirements around flagging AI-created material.

3. Now click **Dynamic Media** to see the dynamic and smart-crop renditions AEM has generated. Adobe's AI identifies the focal point of the image and automatically crops it to fit different configured sizes, so the same asset can be reused across many aspect ratios and channels without anyone manually recropping it each time.
