I**nstructions:**

1. In the left navigation of AEP, select Destinations.
2. Select the '**My destinations**’ radio button in the Catalog view. Verify you see an **Amazon S3 Connection and **Select '**Activate**'. 
3. Click on **'Configure new destination'. **
4. In the Account type section Click on '**Existing account**', then click on the Selector to the right of the Select account box. Click on the Amazon S3 destination and click **'Select'** in the upper right corner.
5. In the 'Destination details' section, enter the following values: 
   1. Name: **AEP Activation Lab** -** Initials** 
   2. Description: **Activation to S3** 
   3. Bucket-name: **rtcdp-lab** 
   4. Folder-path: **/rtcdp-lab/pot5** 
   5. File type: **JSON **
   6. Compression format:** None **
   7. Then select '**Next**' in the upper right corner.
6. Marketing actions select: **Export to third party **and **Email Targeting **then select '**Create**' in the upper right corner. 
7. Select the check box to the left of your new Destination (**AEP Activation Lab** -** Initials)**, then select '**Next**' in the upper right corner.
8. On the 'Available audiences' screen, select the audiences you created in the previous lab.
9. Click on ‘**Next**’ in the upper right corner of the workflow. This will take you to the 'Scheduling' step. Open the 'Schedule' settings and select 'Export incremental files'. Select the current date in the calendar.
10. Click on '**Next**' in the upper right corner of the workflow. Add a new field: **person.gender**
11. Click on '**Next**' in the upper right corner of the workflow. This will take you to the the '**Review**' step. Select '**Finish**' to complete the Profile Activation.
