This lab will walk through the steps to create an SMS Message in Adobe Journey Optimizer.

NOTE:  Some exercises may vary during the actual Hands on Lab versus what is listed in the Archbee Page, due to industry setup and / or Presenter preferences.

## Create a New Message

1. Within the Basic Journey, click on SMS action node

2. Enter a Label and Description for the message.
3. Select **Marketing **for Category and **MultiChannelMarketing.**

4. Click Edit Content.

## Define the SMS Message

1. Compose the message. 
   "Hi {{profile.person.name.firstName}}! Want more from your shopping experience? Apply for the Luma Platinum Credit Card now and unlock exclusive rewards! Text 'APPLY' to get started."

2. Exit the designer after composing the message.
