## Use case description

Project managers often need to set up similar projects repeatedly, leading to wasted time and inconsistencies.

To streamline this process, we will create a reusable project template based on an existing project. This template will include predefined tasks, dependencies, and workflows, allowing teams to quickly launch new projects without manual setup.

***

## Requirements

- Select an **existing project** as the base for the template.
- Convert it into a **reusable project template** in Workfront.
- Ensure predefined **tasks and dependencies** are included.
- Use this template to quickly create a **new project**.

## Resources

You will need product administrator access to perform this task. This permission is already granted to your user.

### Tip 1 - Getting started

**Project Templates** in Workfront are **predefined project structures** that help teams **standardize workflows, save time, and maintain consistency** across projects. Instead of creating each project from scratch, teams can use templates that include **tasks, dependencies, assignments, timelines, and settings** to quickly launch new projects.

**Key Benefits of Using Templates:**

✅ **Faster Project Setup** – Reduce manual effort by reusing structured workflows.
✅ **Consistency Across Projects** – Ensure all projects follow best practices.
✅ **Predefined Task Dependencies** – Maintain logical task sequences automatically.
✅ **Scalability** – Easily apply the same structure to multiple projects.
