## Create an audience for Customers who exceed more than 90% of their data allowance (monthly)

We aim to create a rule to include all customers who have used more than 90% of their contracted data for that month. We consider these customer for data upsell opportunities, and will target them with personalised communications containg details of how they can avoid running out of data in the future.

If you prefer to skip building this audience, you can use `[Example] Data Usage Monthly - Almost Exceeded` and continue to the next step, **Creating the journey**.
:::

1. Click on **+ Create Audience**. This will open the *Create Audience* popup.
2. Select **Build Rule** as the creation method.

Let's build an audience for our regular horse racing betting customers:

1. Ensure you are on the **Attributes** tab in the Fields section.
2. In the text search field, type `Data Usage`. You will see one attribute in the list, **Data Usage - Monthly**.

1. Drag the **Data Usage - Monthly** attribute onto the canvas where it says **Start Building**.
2. Change the condition to:
 1. Data Usage - Monthly is `greater than or equal` to `90`.
 2. For this, select *is greater than or equal to* from the dropdown and enter **90** in the field.

Your final Audience definition should look like:

At each step in defining your audience, you can get an estimate of the audience's population:

- Click on **Refresh Estimates** in the right-hand panel

You will then see an estimation of your current audience size. This information is very helpful for a business user, as it allows them to see the impact of certain attributes on the resulting audience size.

**IMPORTANT**: The sandbox you are using for the exercise has been reset before the workshop, so Refresh Estimate may return 0.

For more details on how estimates work, see the [documentation](https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/segmentation/tutorials/create-a-segment.html?lang=en#estimate-and-preview-an-audience).
:::

The rule now includes all customers who have used 90% or more of their contracted data for the month. Let's save the audience now.

1. Enter the name as `[Your Name] Data Usage Monthly - Almost Exceeded`. Replace \[Your Name] with your name.
2. Select Evaluation method as **Edge**.
3. Click on the **Publish** button at the top right to publish the audience.

Once published, you will be redirected to the audience overview page, which will look like this:
