HOL Presentation:
Day 1 Recording:
Day 1 Questions:
- What does the number of profiles shown in the system represents?
- It represents the number of customers
- What does "profile" mean in the context of B2C and B2B?
- For B2C a profile would be a person/customer, for B2B it would be an account.
- Do field names within a schema need to be unique with initials?
- Only if multiple people in the same sandbox are making the same modifications to the same schema. This would be highly unusual outisde of demo purposes.
- What is the difference between "any" versus "all" label selection when creating a data usage policy?
- Any = OR : policy applies if at least one selected label is present.
- All = AND: policy applies only if every selected label is present.
- Considering different streaming types (batch, edge, streaming), when each is used for audience evaluation?
- Batch evaluation: Runs on a scheduled cadence (e.g. daily). Used for very large audiences, heavy rules, or when real-time isn’t required. Good for overnight refresh of segments.
- Streaming evaluation: Near real-time (minutes). Used when audiences need to update quickly as events flow into the platform, but not instant at the edge. Best for web/app behavior-based segments that need fast activation.
- Edge evaluation: instant (milliseconds). Runs directly on the Edge Network. Used when you need in-session personalization, like deciding what offer or experience to show during a live web/app visit.
- When creating a federated audience, do the results show counts for the query? Can multiple fields (beyond e-mail) be selected for audience mapping?
- Yes, AEP surfaces profile counts during the federated composition process.
- Absolutely. In the Save Audience activity within a Federated Audience Composition, you’re not limited to a single field like email. You can click Add Audience Mapping multiple times to map as many source-to-target fields as needed, pulling over additional attributes from your data warehouse along with specifying a primary identity such as email or phone.

Day 2 Questions:
- Are new events and dimensions added to Adobe Analytics are automatically available in CJA data views or require manual addition.
- So long as the AA dataset is in CJA Connection, the new fields will be availble to select and make availble for reporting in the Data View. You will need to manually drag them in the data view since different use cases will warrant different fields.
- Is there is a way to see how "propensity to upgrade account" (low/medium/high) is determined and if more granular breakdowns are available.
- If you are bringing in raw scores you have the flexibility to create value buckets at report time in CJA using the "Case When" function in Derived Fields. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics-platform/using/cja-dataviews/derived-fields
- Are new filters/segments created in CJA local to the project or available across the entire data view?
- By default, only administrators can create segments. Users have rights to view segments, similar to how users view other components (such as annotations, calculated metrics, etc.). However, administrators can give the Segment Creation permission for Reporting Tools in Edit permissions for CJA Workspace Access to users via the Admin Console. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics-platform/using/cja-components/segments/seg-create
- Can the legends in bar charts created from freeform tables be changed or edited?
- Yes, it definetly can! :) Just right click on the label and you can edit the name.
- Can CJA supports looking at individual persons for debugging, or if it is mostly an aggregate tool?
- In CJA you can certainly zero into a specific person by searching for their identifier at the dimension level and breaking it down by any metric or profile data.
- You also have the ability to search for that same ID in Experience Platform and view the entire profile of a person.
- Any details about limitations in CJA for high-cardinality data (e.g., top 100K/500K IDs, "low traffic" buckets) compared to Adobe Analytics.
- No “Low Traffic” bucket. CJA can handle extremely high-cardinality data since it’s built on Experience Platform’s queryable, raw-level datasets.
- With repsect to pagination, Workspace tables will return the top 200 rows by default, expandable to 400. Beyond that you’d query via Data Distiller or API for full dumps.
- What is different in CJA versus Analytics Workspace?
- CJA is built to report on the journey of the known customer (person level) across any channel (online and offline). This is fundamentally different from AA which reports only on Web data and at the device level.
- Any limitations on the number of dimensions in CJA, referencing eVar limits in Analytics?
- The concept of eVar/prop/event goes away with CJA so those limits don't apply.
- Any field in the underlying AEP dataset schema can be brought into a Data View as a dimension or metric.
- How is data for unauthenticated users handled once they become authenticated?
- We have extensive documentation on stiching options with CJA (Field Based vs. Graph Based). This is a powerfull solution to backfill rows that were previously unknown.
- Currently this is a custom request that would go through our engineering team but there are plans to make this availble within the UI.
