1.4 Brand Validation
Exercise 1.4: Brand Validation and Content Refinement
Duration: 7 minutes
Understanding Automated Content Checks
Every variant generated in GenStudio for Performance Marketing undergoes automated content checks against three categories: brand guidelines compliance (measuring how well the content aligns with your configured brand voice, messaging, and visual standards), platform guidelines (ensuring the content meets Meta, LinkedIn, or other channel-specific requirements), and ADA accessibility standards (verifying that text contrast, readability, and inclusive language requirements are met).
The Content check summary appears as an icon on each variant, showing a compliance percentage for brand guidelines and pass/fail indicators for platform and accessibility checks. Marketers can click into the details to see exactly which guidelines passed and which need attention, then edit specific sections of the variant to improve compliance before submitting for review.
Value for Your Organization:
- Automated brand compliance scoring replaces subjective, manual review for first-pass quality
- Platform-specific guidelines catch formatting and policy issues before content reaches ad platforms
- Accessibility checks ensure inclusive content without requiring specialized ADA expertise
- Compliance data is visible before content enters the review workflow, reducing rejection cycles
- Continuous feedback loop helps marketers learn what on-brand content looks like over time
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Locate the Content check summary on a variant
- On the Canvas, find and click the Content check summary icon on each variant (typically displayed as a percentage badge) or click the Badge icon in the right rail
- The panel shows brand compliance percentage, platform guideline status, and accessibility status
Step 2: Review the brand compliance score
- Examine the brand compliance percentage
- A score above 90% typically indicates strong alignment with configured guidelines
- Click into the brand section to see which specific guidelines passed and which were flagged
- Note the flagged items with recommendations for improvement
Step 3: Review platform and accessibility checks
- Check the platform guidelines status (Pass or Fail)
- Check the ADA accessibility status
- If any check shows a failure or needs attention, click for specific recommendations
- Common accessibility flags include text contrast issues or readability level concerns
Step 4: Edit a variant to improve compliance
- Select a variant that has a lower brand compliance score (e.g., Variant 4 at 78%)
- Click on the headline text to edit it directly on the Canvas
- Adjust the wording to better align with the brand voice guidelines
- You can also click on body copy or CTA text to refine those sections
Step 5: Regenerate a specific section for improved alignment
- Instead of editing manually, you can regenerate individual sections
- Click on a section (headline, body, or CTA) and select the regenerate option
- The AI produces a new version of that section while preserving the rest of the variant
- Review the updated section for improved brand alignment
Step 6: Re-check content validation after edits
- After making changes, observe the content check summary updating
- Click Recheck Score in the content check summary
- Verify that the brand compliance score has improved
- Confirm that platform and accessibility checks still pass
- Repeat adjustments as needed until the variant meets your quality threshold
Step 7: Select your top-performing variants
- Review all remaining variants with their updated content check scores
- Identify the variants you want to move forward for review and approval
- You do not need to submit all variants; select the strongest candidates for your campaign and Delete the asset or Concept with the lowest score
Checkpoint
✓ Can you view the content check summary for each variant, identify which guidelines passed or need attention, and edit a variant to improve its brand compliance score?
Tip: Content checks in GenStudio are not just a quality gate; they are a learning tool. Over time, marketers who review the feedback on their generated content develop an intuitive sense of what on-brand messaging looks like. This reduces the need for revisions in future generation cycles and builds brand literacy across the marketing organization.
