[Bonus] Streaming Events via API
7 min
In this exercise we will use a streaming connection to ingest XDM-formatted JSON records in real-time to the Adobe Experience Platform.
We will use Insomnia to send these events to an HTTP Streaming endpoint.
- Go to the menu Connections > Sources > Catalog
- Select My sources
- Go to Streaming source and expand the menu

- Click on the menu View dataflow

- Click on the dataflow name
- On the right panel, get a cURL example by clicking on the command Copy schema payload

- This is an example of an XDM payload ; replace the body by the following JSON
{
"eventType":"event_name_test",
"_id":"EC0dYLr4bGnO",
"timestamp":"2024-11-25T10:44:59.971Z",
"identityMap":{
"email":[
{
"id":"[email protected]",
"primary":true
}
],
"phone":[
{
"id":"0102031014"
}
]
},
"_demopotemea":{
"identification":{
"core":{
"email":"[email protected]",
"phoneNumber":"0102031014"
}
},
"interactionDetails":{
"core":{
"channel":"cx"
}
}
}
}
}
}- To get a synchronous validation, go to the Query tab and add the parameter syncValidation = true

- Click on the Send button to get a 200 response like that:

- Wait a few seconds
- Search for the Profile and go to the Events tab

This is one way to ingest Experience Events to Adobe Experience Platform via a Streaming API!
