Proof of Concept Data
Overview
About the Experience Data Model ("XDM")
The data designed and configured in this Proof of Concept (POC) is based on the Adobe Experience Platform Data Model ("XDM"), a standardized framework designed to unify and manage customer data across various sources. It enables organizations to create a comprehensive view of their customers, facilitating enhanced analytics and personalized experiences. For more detailed information, please refer to the offic ial documentation: Adobe Experience Platform Data Model Documentation.
Data Requirements
The data used in this handson version of the Proof of Concept ("POC") was created using the requirements provided by GAP and consists of three profile datasets: Loyalty, Brand and Card.
Link to Loyalty Profiles Schema This schema is the largest and contains around 35 fields that are populated with sample profile data like name, address, scoring and identity data. It contains approximately 93 thousand records. Link to Brand Profiles Schema The Brand Profiles schema is a direct subset of the Loyalty Profiles schema, but has additional data fields such as Division Preference and Enrollment Date. It contains approximately 32 thousand records. Link to Card Profiles Schema The Card schema works on a different customer identifier than the other two schemas and adds the Card Status field to the profile data. While the customer id's are different, the platform will match the email addresses for each records to create an example of how primary and secondary identity matching works. It contains approximately 3500 profile records.
In addition, the data contains some manufactured web and mobile app event data that we have added to these schemas. Both schemas were created using designs that were available "out-of-the-box": Link to Web Events Schema Link to Mobile App Events Schema
Data Ingestion
The Adobe Experience Platform allows organizations to efficiently ingest data from multiple sources, creating a unified customer data view. Its seamless capabilities enable real-time data collection, storage, and analysis, enhancing personalization and targeted marketing. For guidance on data ingestion and best practices, visit the Adobe Experience Platform Data Ingestion documentation.
The Snowflake Source Connector
The Adobe Experience Platform Snowflake Source Connector facilitates integration between Adobe's marketing tools and Snowflake's data cloud. It enables efficient data ingestion and synchronization into Adobe Experience Platform, enhancing data-driven decision-making and personalized customer experiences. For detailed information, refer to the official documentation here.
Ingesting the Data
The Brand Profile import process is shown in the screenshots. For any connector, the process is very much the same.
Step 1: Add Data to the Snowflake Connector

Step 2: Choose your source data.

Step 3: Choose your Dataset.

Step 4: Map fields from the source to the destination Dataset.

Step 5: Schedule and activate your workflow.
